Administrative Staff

 Dr. David McCoy

Dr. David McCoy has been the pastor of Peoples Baptist Church since 1993 but served as the youth director of PBC for twelve years prior to the pastorate. Under Pastor McCoy's leadership, Peoples Baptist Academy was founded in 1995. He has been married to his wife Trish since 1982. Dr. McCoy's life verse is Psalm 84:11: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." Through that verse, Pastor McCoy strives to educate with eternity in view and teach that, truly, it pays to serve God. On a side note, Preacher's favorite things are golf, his grandbabies, and Andy Griffith reruns.

Seth Haas

Mr. Seth Haas serves as the principal of Peoples Baptist Academy and is beginning his fifth year in our ministry. Mr. Haas grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. He has served in many different capacities in church ministry, but he has a desire to assist parents and students in the school ministry. He and his wife Meredith have two girls, Aven and Juliet, and their newest addition, their son Cade. Mr. Haas's favorite things would be a Milo's hamburger (which can only be found in Birmingham), the sound of a perfectly struck 7-iron, and classic muscle cars.

Trish McCoy

High School Supervisor

Our pastor's wife, Mrs. Trish McCoy, serves as the administrator and high school supervisor for Peoples Baptist Academy. Education has long been a passion of hers, having taught senior high English for seventeen years before working with the pastor to start the school. With a Master's degree in Christian School Administration, she coordinates the academics, events, field trips, graduation, and much more. A few of her favorite things would be a good book under a big shade tree, almost any kind of Hershey's chocolate, and an evening out with a view of downtown.

  Randall Rickner

Elementary Supervisor

Mr. Randall Rickner is deeply involved in many aspects of our school and church ministries. He grew up in Marion, Indiana, and attended college in Hammond, where he obtained degrees in pastoral ministries, Christian education administration, and a specialist degree in school administration. He has taught for 32 years, 14 of those being at PBA. He and his wife Jan have a son and daughter who also both serve on staff at PBA. In any spare time he happens to have, Mr. Rickner enjoys golfing, running, and eating at Outback.

Patti Saunders

Kindergarten Supervisor

Mrs. Patti Saunders teaches K5 and is also our kindergarten supervisor. She and her husband, Mr. Alan Saunders, also serve faithfully in our church ministry. Three of her favorite people are her grandchildren, who live in Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Saunders served as missionaries to the Bahamas for many years before they moved back to the States. She has taught for 26 years, 9 at PBA. She enjoys shopping and reading, loves shoes and handbags, and likes to eat at the French Market in Locust Grove.
